Facebook! re-design

I heard from this and this (yeah, complete with its review) that facebook made new design which completed by new functions, features, and feeds..

1. Bout feeds. Actually, still I’m not used to playing with feeds thingy -don’t know how to use it properly, actually, to be honest- so I don’t know what to say, can’t judge, can’t give a good review.. (hahaha, still confused also why i made this review).. Anw, the news feed looks so b.o.r.i.n.g. Yeah, for some people who don’t like gossip news like me (LIAR ME!, haha) sometimes I ignore what-the-hell-happened-with-my-friends-TOO-MUCH. okay, what i put it seriously because they made the list of news feed into very loooooooongggg page. I found myself should press 5 times PgDn control and I just don’t like it. I still prefer to the old style which shown few news about my friend and it just looks so fit.
2. Bout functions. They made “tab” for our profile, friend, application, and inbox. Flashily, it very looks like FS design. Then, they also moved the bookmark, and sponsor from left toolbar into right one – they made it into 2 side bar which maybe they thought simpler than it was (but I don’t think so!). DISCLAIMER : sorry if I don’t put the features and functions category in the correct place. And when I enter the profile of mine (identified as your name on the tab) I found myself as really bored people because, AGAIN, I should face the news feed of mine. Hey, I don’t wanna know TOO MUCH bout what I did thousand years ago. Maybe not too striking like what they did in front page, but it’s still a very longggggg page talk bout what we did in FB (taken 4 times pressing PgDn). Yeah, still don’t like it so far..
3. Bout features, yeah this thing made me LOVE NEW FB because they let us NOT TO move the boxes.. hahaha, some people actually don’t know how to arrange their FB pages in order that others see ‘em easily. In the new FB, they already set wall page as the front page. Good to see, because if we want to know someone better, we firstly take a look at what people thought about that someone. Shortly, not-removing-profile-box thinghy really surprise me!

My friend, Cherindra E P, told me that the FB designer didn’t make any changes with application looks, because it still run in half screen.. Yeah, I put it also in feedback box for FB…

Overall, nice to see something changing. Suddenly I remember to Churchill quote ..”to improve is to change.“. Yeahh, maybe it was repaired to let people know that FB really putting design into serious problem. Great to know that!

Anyway, I just wondering, why FB still don’t let user change the color background become personal customization?

Srikandi (Sanskerta: शिकण्ढी; Śikhaṇḍī) atau Sikandin adalah salah satu putera Raja Drupada dengan Dewi Gandawati dari Kerajaan Panchala yang muncul dalam kisah wiracarita dari India, yaitu Mahabharata. Ia merupakan penitisan Dewi Amba yang tewas karena panah Bisma. Dalam kitab Mahabharata ia diceritakan lahir sebagai seorang wanita, namun karena sabda dewata, ia diasuh sebagai seorang pria, atau kadangkala berjenis kelamin netral (waria).

Saat perang di Kurukshetra, Bisma sadar bahwa Srikandi adalah reinkarnasi Amba, dan karena ia tidak ingin menyerang “seorang wanita”, ia menjatuhkan senjatanya. Tahu bahwa Bisma akan bersikap demikian terhadap Srikandi, Arjuna bersembunyi di belakang Srikandi dan menyerang Bisma dengan tembakan panah penghancur. Maka dari itu, hanya dengan bantuan Srikandi, Arjuna dapat memberikan pukulan mematikan kepada Bisma, yang sebenarnya tak terkalahkan sampai akhir. Akhirnya Srikandi dibunuh oleh Aswatama pada hari ke-18 Bharatayuddha. (Wikipedia, 2008 )

Anyway, I’m going to be Srikandi on tomorrow graduation party hold by MTI-ITB. Hope I got all dress on its suitable place.. =D
